Detailed Sahara Desert Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech โ Telouet โ Aรฏt Benhaddou โ Ouarzazate โ Skoura โ Dades Gorges
Depart in the morning from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi nโTichka Pass (2,260 m). Stop along the way to photograph traditional Berber villages and winding mountain roads.
Continue to Telouet Kasbah, once the palace of Thami El Glaoui, then travel through the scenic Ounila Valley to Aรฏt Benhaddou. Explore this iconic fortified village, perched on a hilltop and still home to a handful of families. Climb to the upper ruins for panoramic views of palm groves and desert landscapes.
After lunch, drive through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and the Rose Valley to reach the Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight at your kasbah or hotel.

Continue south to Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa music, where youโll enjoy traditional drumming and dancing. Stop at Dayet Serji Lake (seasonal), home to migratory birds such as flamingos.
