One-week Morocco Tour to visit historic Imperial cities, that will leave you with memories!
Morocco’s four imperial cities—Fez, Meknes, Marrakech, and Rabat—have each served as the capital at different moments in the country’s history. Rabat remains the capital today and is home to King Mohammed VI.
This one-week Morocco Imperial Cities Tour offers a rich introduction to the country’s history, culture, and landscapes. In just seven days, you’ll explore iconic imperial cities, venture beyond the usual tourist routes, and experience Morocco’s diverse regions. The journey blends culture, adventure, and authentic local experiences—along with outstanding Moroccan cuisine every day.
The tour typically begins in Casablanca, where you’ll visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. From there, travel to Rabat, Morocco’s coastal capital overlooking the Atlantic. Continue on to Meknes, known for its grand architecture and deep imperial history, then on to Fez—twice a former capital and home to one of the world’s most remarkable medieval medinas. You’ll be captivated by its fortified old city, vibrant souks, traditional tanneries, and unforgettable flavors.
Your private tour ends in Marrakech, Morocco’s most famous imperial city. There’s no better way to experience the culture and daily life of Morocco’s imperial cities than through a carefully curated private journey led by our Morocco travel experts.

Detailed Morocco Tour

Day 1: Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Mohammed V International Airport, you’ll be met by your professional, English-speaking driver and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, begin exploring Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. Visit the upscale Anfa district, known for its Art Deco architecture and green spaces, then continue to the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, dramatically set above the Atlantic Ocean. One of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims, it took seven years to build and showcases exquisite marble, cedarwood ceilings, and intricate carvings.
Later, stroll along the Ain Diab Corniche—often called the “Miami of Morocco”—before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Casablanca → Rabat

After breakfast, depart for Rabat, Morocco’s imperial capital. Tour the city’s elegant avenues, gardens, and historic landmarks, including the Royal Palace, the ancient Chellah ruins, the Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then visit the Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic. Wander through its peaceful streets and Andalusian Gardens before settling into your riad for the evening.

Day 3: Meknes → Volubilis → Moulay Idriss Zerhoune → Fez

Travel to Meknes, once known as the “Moroccan Versailles.” Explore its massive ramparts, Bab Mansour gate, El Hedim Square, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
Continue to Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman site, where you’ll walk among ancient mosaics, columns, and arches. After lunch, drive through the Zerhoun Hills to Moulay Idriss Zerhoune, Morocco’s holiest town, before continuing on to Fez for the night.

Day 4: Fez City Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a full guided tour of Fez, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Visit the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter, and panoramic viewpoints before entering the UNESCO-listed medina.
Explore historic mosques, madrasas, souks, tanneries, and artisan workshops. Lunch will be served at a traditional local restaurant inside the medina. The afternoon continues with visits to pottery kilns and historic fortifications before returning to your riad.

Day 5: Fez → Atlas Mountains → Marrakech

Depart Fez for Marrakech on a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, cedar forests, and Berber villages. Continue along the foothills of the High Atlas before arriving in Marrakech.
In the evening, experience the legendary Jemaa el-Fna Square as it comes alive with musicians, storytellers, food stalls, and performers. Enjoy dinner at your riad or a local restaurant.

Day 6: Marrakech City Tour

Spend the day exploring Marrakech with a private guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, and the bustling souks of the medina.
After lunch, explore the beautiful Majorelle Garden in the modern part of the city. Return to Jemaa el-Fna in the late afternoon to watch the square transform once again at sunset.
