Detailed Morocco Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Morocco – Casablanca

Arrive in Casablanca, where your private guide escorts you to your boutique luxury hotel. If time allows, visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, dramatically set above the Atlantic Ocean. Continue through the elegant Anfa district, see the exterior of the Royal Palace, explore the Habous Quarter, and stop at Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic film Casablanca. End the day with dinner along the Corniche overlooking the sea.

Day 2: Rabat → Chefchaouen

Travel north to Rabat to visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Continue to the blue-washed mountain town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Enjoy a relaxed evening in the medina and dinner in Plaza Outa el Hammam.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Free Time

Explore Chefchaouen’s winding alleys, artisan shops, and Andalusian architecture. Visit the Kasbah, Grand Mosque, and panoramic viewpoints near the Spanish Mosque. Optional hikes lead to the surrounding hills or the Akchour Waterfalls.

Day 4: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes

Discover the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Meknes to see Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square, and Moulay Ismail’s Mausoleum before heading to Fes for the night.

Day 5: Fes – Full-Day Guided Tour

Explore the historic medina of Fes, one of the world’s largest living medieval cities. Highlights include the Royal Palace gates, the Mellah, Bou Inania Madrasa, the University of Al Quaraouiyine, Nejjarine Square, and the famous tanneries.

Day 6: Fes → Middle Atlas → Erfoud

Travel south through Ifrane, Azrou’s cedar forests (home to Barbary macaques), and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Day 7: Sahara Desert Experience

Journey to Merzouga via Rissani and Khamlia village. Ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and spend the night in a deluxe desert camp with traditional music, dinner, and stargazing.

Day 8: Sahara → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley → Skoura

After sunrise, travel west through desert oases and dramatic canyons. Walk through Todra Gorges, continue along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, and arrive in the palm groves of Skoura.

Day 9: Skoura → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech

Visit Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate, then explore the iconic Aït Ben Haddou, featured in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech – The Red City
